This dog has been tied up outside a very small supermarket in the pedestrian street of Menton. She was only left a short time, so, whilst she doesn't look happy - she was fine. She wagged her tail when I talked to her but being tied up, she probably felt rather vulnerable. I didn't bother her for long. I don't know what breed she is. If anyone knows, please let me know. Meanwhile I've marked her down as a mix.
Ha! She looks anxious.
ReplyDeleteShe probably is a mix, but she has a lot of Staffordshire terrier in her. In the States she would be lumped into the maligned category "pit bull." She does look a bit anxious, but sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for your explanation of her anxiety. We don't take our little Duncan anywhere that we would have to tie him up to wait for us--not only would he be anxious, but Mama and I would be pitifully so ourselves.
ReplyDeleteOh, she does look nervous. And yes, as an American, my first thought was "pit bull", but her muzzle seems a little long for that.
ReplyDeleteStaffy x with a boxer? Whatever she is, she is pretty, although she does look worried. Poor little thing. I often see dogs tied up outside our little supermarket too and I always talk to them, telling them that it is okay, Mummy will be back soon. I usually get a tail wag too and sometimes a lick!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a pit bull mix to me.
