One of the things I so love about living here is the proximity to Italy. Walk around Menton and sometimes you hear more Italian than French. And of course the Italians bring their dogs when they visit.So meet little Kika, an Italian Min Pin, two years old - in Menton for the Lemon Festival.

It amazes me, although it shouldn't, that dogs really do learn the language of their families. When I moved in to my Hungarian apartment, the neighbor's Pug (Gianni or Johnny) understood more Hungarian than I did. The only thing I had going for me was being able to speak it better than him. When I left, the score was still the same. *sigh*
I love the way the tips of the ears flop over!
