Meet Daisy. In these photos she is 6 months old. Daisy was born in England and came to France when she was around 4 months to live in Cannes.
Like most labradors, she is beautiful but sheds hair everywhere and as she got older she got naughtier and naughtier - at one point she thought it the best fun to chew my walls! Now she is older - around 18 months and things have settled down ... a little! I have to say tho I have a very soft spot for Daisy.
That's a face you gott love! And she looks so innocent. Maybe someone else chewed the walls and framed Daisy!

Daisy is delightful. You can see in her eyes she is planning her next adventure.
ReplyDeleteHow can you not have a soft spot for Daisy?! Marley of "Marley and Me" fame comes to mind. Daisy looks like she has such a heart.
ReplyDeleteI would take Miss Daisy in a Paris moment! I love labs and almost brought a rescue lab mix puppy home this morning from the market. I just don't need a big dog but they are what I love. Give her lots of smooches for me.

Mmmm, Daisy and Kenzo would be great mates - two trouble makers! LOL
ReplyDeleteI never had a dog as a child. My mother, very late in her life, confessed that her biggest regret as a mother was not allowing me to have a dog.
ReplyDeleteFor my two sons, we hot a Yellow Lab. We named her Tortilla, as she was very light in color, the same as a flour tortilla.
Your photo reminds me of Tortilla.
I am glad I will not have the same regret as my mother.
Dave--I'm sorry you weren't allowed to have a dog as a child, but it's wonderful that you've given your sons Tortilla! Every child deserves a dog; they truly are our best friends. And Labs are especially good with children, and practically everybody! Thanks for sharing that touching story with us.
ReplyDeleteDave, my mother loathed dogs. I was given a cocker spaniel (Boots) when I was around 8 and when he was a year old he was sent away because he brought mud into the house! I'm glad you like dogs and have given your sons Tortilla.
ReplyDeleteI lived in a house of "cat people" I was never cruel to them but I just did not "get it" !
ReplyDeletethen I got married years later and we got a dog.........
I am a "dog person" :)
Jilly, you are thankfully NOT your mother's daughter where dogs are concerned. You must have been devastated as a child to have your dog taken away. That's terrible!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading some posts here, I have never felt more grateful for my little Sheltie, "Laddie" (I know, not very original, but a popular name at the time--I wasn't responsible for that!). He was an amazing dog; I'll never forget him.
Unfortunately, my life is such that I can't have a dog right now (I'm not home enough), and I feel so deprived. But I always have Riviera Dogs!!!
Lady Jicky, I KNOW you are a dog person!
ReplyDeleteAnd Ann, what lovely words. Yes it was just awful when Boots was taken away and strange that life conspired to put me with dogs later and from then on, of course, forever.
Sorry you've not got a dog right now but perhaps one day, eh?
Jilly--definitely one day, most definitely!
ReplyDeleteCause who could resist that face?
ReplyDeleteDaisy looks lovely in her portrait. How did you get that expression? I love her shiny black nose.
