A Doberman with cropped ears. I thought it was banned but perhaps not in France. She's a lovely girl tho - called Venus, 7 years old and lives in Paris. We met in Ventimiglia, just across the Italian border, a short while ago.Apologies for the bleached out background - too much sun that day - well that's my excuse...

So far as I know, the Beauceron is a French dog and its ancestry lies behind the Dobermann - well something like that....
Glenda, she is a Doberman. The owner wrote and corrected me. I had got it into my head for some reason that she was a Beauceron. Blame the heat that day! No, blame me...
