Ricky doesn't really have funny ears. He just does strange things with them when you try and attract his attention. He's 9 years old and lives in Monaco and has appeared on Riviera Dogs once before - you can find more pics of him HERE. Isn't he a love!

oh, yes, he is a love. i think most of the dogs you show us have such depth of expression. is it your camera and your sensitivity to the canine species or are dogs truly as emotionally expressive with their faces as you depict them?
If our dogs are like that we should still take good care of it.

Brattcat - a good question! I simply make little noises to attract their attention and their expression is probably saying 'what does SHE want?' and then perhaps we read much more into their expression than is there. But really I don't know. They can look so sad, so deeply sad sometimes (in a photo) but I'm not convinced they are. I've snapped a person sometimes and it's just that second that they look one way - just that instant - what is real?
