Lula the Borzoi
Lula is one of the dogs entered in the recent Monaco Dog Show. Here she is with her young owner. She's 16 months old and lives along the coast in Frejus. They are standing in the street outside the circus tent where this annual champtionship show is always held.

The Beautiful Blonde
This beautiful blonde Borzoi is waiting to go into the ring at the San Remo show. Breeds are so different, aren't they? Compare the long muzzle of this hound to say, the wide squashed face of a French bulldog.

The Borzoi at Carrefour
I've never seen a Borzoi in Monaco before - well except at the Monaco Dog Show of course. But here was one, tied up outside Carrefour, the main supermarket, waiting for his owner who was shopping inside. And you can see the crowd he drew.
Not the sharpest photos as I'd just done some shopping myself and only had my small camera in my pocket.

Monaco Dog Show - the Borzois
Such beautiful creatures waiting patiently for their turn at the dog show. I always find it fascinating why we choose the breed of dog we do. Somehow the small lady sitting in the chair and her Borzoi don't seem to go together - which is nonsense of course, because obviously they are more than happy. I also got the impression (could be wrong) this lady is very much a 'doyen' of the breed as people kept coming up and talking to her.
