What is it about French Bulldogs that make them so irresistible? What is it about French Bulldogs that make them so irresistible? This one is waiting for a helping hand from his owner so he can drink out of the fountain in Menton.

Batman

Yesterday I met this cute pup at the Fete de la Branda in Gorbio village. He belongs to the family who sell garlic.  Batman is 4 months old and is a mix of a beagle and a French bulldog.  He lives near to Toulon.

Peille 'pick-up' bags

All along the French Riviera you'll find these green boxes that contain 'poop' bags. No excuse for owners not to pick up after their dogs.  This is in the beautiful village of Peille, way up in the mountains above Monaco and Menton.

Spirou

French Bulldogs melt my heart.  This is Spirou, he's 4 years old and lives in Gorbio. 

Unfortunately he has leishmaniosis, but with regular treatment he will continue to live a normal life, albeit sometimes with a bit of weakness. For anyone that doesn't know, leishmaniosis is caused by a bite from a phlebetome (a type of tiny mosquito) that puts parasites into the blood. There is no cure, but with drugs it is kept in remission.

Ted, the market dog

Ted is a market dog.  His owner sells eggs on a stall outside Menton's municipal market. He's a two-year old French bulldog wrapped up against the early morning chill.

This is one little dog who adores his owner and just wants to please.  We've met Mr. Mojo before and I know we'll meet him again. Mr. Mojo lives in Monte Carlo with his owner, my friend Nicky.

Nicky and Mojo

This is my lovely friend Nicky Fraser with her French bulldog Mojo. (we met him the other day) He's doing his best to do what he wants to do and not what Nicky wants him to do!

Meet Mojo, an absolutely adorable 15 months old French bulldog who lives in Monaco.  He was adopted by my lovely friend Nicky when he was 6 months old and of course he's stolen her heart.
