Dog or Doll?

It's pouring with rain in Naples.  This little poodle, wearing his smart raincoat, sleeps in his owner's arms as they shelter from the rain.

Tofu, an adorable toy poodle was with her owners at the Beausejour restaurant in Gorbio yesterday.  I thought she was a puppy - but, no, she is three years old and lives in Nice.  So cute.

Couldn't resist snapping William today. I met him on the promenade above Larvotto Beach in Monaco.  Just a pup, a big pup and looking adorable. He's a Standard Poodle or, as the French call them, a Caniche Royale.

Gaia

Kiwi

This is Kiwi, a 6 month old apricot poodle.  Kiwi was born in Canada and flown over to France when he was three months old.  As life goes on, he'll be regularly flying back and forth between his owner's two homes: Montreal and Monaco.

Simba

This poodle is tiny -  one of the smallest I've seen. He was out walking with the young children of his family and the family nanny who told me he came from America and cost $6,000. Simba lives in Monaco and is 5 years old.

Gaia in the Wind

Meet Gaia - she's an adorable, feminine 2 year old poodle with the wind in her hair at Pointe des Douaniers, Cap d'Ail.

Fanny and Emma

Some of you will remember Fanny, the little poodle, who was abandoned outside my gate nearly three years ago.  She was in a sorry state at the time, an old lady of 13.  As you see, she is in much better health now although she still has problems including a dodgy heart.  She's a happy camper though and now that she barks less, I'm a happy camper too ...!

She's found an adorable friend in little Emma who is the daughter of the family who own Paisley and Raffa, the golden retrievers we saw in the last post.

When they collected their dogs, Emma fell for Fanny and it seems the feeling was mutual.
