This cat thinks he's a dog and follows his Shetland Sheepdog family (there are four of them) around Gorbio village. Love that!

Gorbio village has four new residents ... well, five if you count the owner! These four beautifully behaved Shelties seem at home already on the old cobbled streets.

Ulysse

Meet Ulysse, a beautiful Shetland Sheepdog I met in Gorbio village last Sunday.  He's 11 years old and lives in Carnoles.

Three Shelties

Three well-trained Shelties, waiting their turn to compete at the reeent Agility competition in Menton.

They live in Mandelieu and left to right are called: Bluebell Lady, Deslys d'Amour and Fleur de Lyla. They are 6, 3 and 1 and a half years old.  Adorable!

Patience

Dogs are so patient, aren't they? They just want to be with us - doesn't matter if we are texting, reading, watching the television, ignoring them - so long as they are with us, they are happy.

This lovely Sheltie waits quite happily with her owner near the beach at Cap Martin.

Monaco Dog Show - the Meeting

This is a photograph that went onto Monte Carlo Daily Photo the other day but here it is on the 'Dog Blog.' Just as an experiment I changed the ISO setting on the camera to 2000 which has given this grainy effect, rather as if the photo is printed on canvas. Hope you like the moment when these two Shelties met a Pyrenean Mountain Dog.

This little Sheltie was a long way from his home in Luxembourg. Here with his owner for the Lemon Festival of Menton, he's 8 years old. Like many Shelties he was a little nervous at being photographed, but in the end we got there - he wouldn't look at me though - you can see in every photo he's anxiously looking at his Mama. Isn't he gorgeous.

Lady

Meet Lady, the Sheltland Sheepdog. I saw her lying by one of the tables at a Bric a Brac fair in Menton. Her owner wasn't there but a nearby stall holder told me her name.
