L'Amour

Words are not needed to explain the rapport and love between these two. This beautiful Swiss Shepherd dog is called Ghost and lives in Gorbio.

Ghost

Some dogs are just too beautiful for words, aren't they? This stunning Swiss Shepherd Dog lives in the village of Gorbio. He's two and a half years old and is called Ghost. Such gorgeous gentle eyes and such a kind expression.

Dogs at the Vernissage

Yesterday afternoon I went to a vernissage of photography (excellent) at the Chateau in Gorbio. Dogs are not allowed into the Chateau or the enclosed garden. The sign says 'Clean Grass. Dogs now allowed. Please close the Gate' - which explains this photo.

I don't know the names of the Bearded Collie or the Swiss Shepherd Dog but you can see they were making their feelings known!

Alpha, who loves water...

Alpha, 3 years old, is a Berger Blanc Suisse (White Swiss Shepherd Dog) who lives in Monaco but had been in Gorbio for a run. Hasn't he the longest tongue - he's a hot dog (!) - this is before he cooled down in the area next to the washhouse in the village. Note the plastic bottle used as a tap.

You can read more about this breed - the origins of the German Shepherd Dog by clicking on the link - and for more photos of Alpha in the water and to see the washhouse, go to Menton Daily Photo today.
