Conversation with a Whippet

I wonder how many people know their dogs have private conversations with strangers behind their back.

I met this lovely Whippet in Dolceacqua. 

Double Cream

This lovely whippet competed at the Agility competition in Menton.  He's four years old and he's called Double Cream but his owners call him DD. He lives in Cannes. 

Julia at the Arabian Horse Show

You often find whippets at the Arabian Horse Show in Menton.  Julia is trying to keep cool in the shade of a tent. (see small photo) She comes from Brittany in northern France and is one year old.

Her young owner walks her past a stable from Oman. You can see pics of the horse show on Menton Daily Photo today. 

Oural

This is Oural, a 14 year old Whippet who lives in Toulon. He was in Monte Carlo for the recent 10 kilometre run - hence all those feet clad in running shoes.

He knows he could outrun all of them and is wondering why don't they hurry up so he can get home to his comfortable sofa...

Elementary, my dear Watson

Snuggled up in his owner's arms is this lovely old whippet called Watson. Watson is 12 and lives near to Paris.

I hardly have to tell you where we are as you can see the Casino of Monte Carlo in the background.

I've just realised Watson is the first whippet to appear on this blog. I've always loved this breed and isn't Watson adorable.
