Muriel, Nina and Emma

How to get a dog and a child together ... hide behind them!  Here (although you don't see her!) is Muriel in Gorbio village, with her little Yorkie, Nina - and Emma who thinks it's all the best fun.

Nina

This little bundle of love is called Nina.  She's two years old and was recently adopted by a lovely couple in Gorbio village, Muriel and Doudou - now the family is complete!

Lily

Lily, an adorable Yorkshire terrier of 15 months outside a restaurant on Avenue Jean Médecin in Nice yesterday where her owner was eating lunch.

Domino

Meet Domino, a Yorkie mix, leaning on her owner's shoulder.  Of course I couldn't resist snapping that face!  Domino lives in the Champagne region but was on holiday in Menton. 

Nicky, the Yorkie

There's something so similar about these two ... the tones, the tilt of the head, the expression.  Nicky the Yorkie is three years old and lives in Germany but at this moment in sitting in Place aux Herbes, Menton.

A Handful ...

You could say a handful!  A chihuahua and a Yorkie who live in Nice. 

Granddaughter and dog

This old Yorkie belongs to Alain, who lives in Gorbio village. She is being walked (sort of!) by Alain's granddaughter who lives in Senegal.

Luca

Tiny button nose, too cute for words, this tiny Yorkie was in Gorbio last night for the opening of the most recent exhibition in the Chateau.

He's only two months old, lives in Menton and is called Luca.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day

Today is 'International Talk like a Pirate Day' - who knew!  So I give you this tiny 'Pirate' who I'm sure can 'woof' in an 'Ahoy matey' sort of way!

In fact, this little sweetheart is called Shelley and is only 9 months old. She lives in Menton but I met her at the Sospel Agricultural Show last Sunday.

Fluffy and Smooth

A Yorkie and a Jack Russell in Villefranche-sur-Mer on the day I went to photograph the Naval Battle of the Flowers.  I didn't stop and ask their names but they seemed quite happy to let me photograph them. Thanks, doggies. Woof Woof ...

Birdy

Meet Birdy.  Isn't she too cute for words!  She's only 6 months old and has already got her owner sorted out with her very own carrying bag!

 Birdy and her charming owner, Patrick, live in Le Cannet.  I met them in Menton.

Giada - the glamour of Italy

Pink leopardskin coat, pink hair slide - the glamour of winter - she has to be Italian!

And she is. This is 13 year old Giada, whose owners will be selling bric a brac at the Broc Troc in Menton this weekend.

Patience

Her owner is having a coffee and croissant in Menton whilst she waits patiently.  All our dogs ever ask is to be with us - they don't mind how long they wait.

I wish I was as patient as my dogs ...

The Pink Ribbon Walk in Monaco

These dogs took part in the recent Pink Ribbon Walk in Monaco - for breast cancer awareness.

The Yorkie with the badge is called Jamie and he's one and a half. I don't know the name of the Chihuahua, so proudly displaying the pink balloon.

Pam dressed for winter

Do you suppose Yorkies know how cute they are?

This is Pam, she's 5 years old and lives in Menton. I met her on the pedestrian street wearing her winter clothes - very sensible as it's cold here at the moment - well cold by our standards...

Walking for a Green Planet

In the last post we had two Cavaliers running for charity and here we have two Yorkies promoting a Green Planet. Quite right too!

I met these two in the Jardin Bioves in Menton - they are sisters, eight years old, and are called Mlle. Louise and Mlle. Margot. Adorable, eh?
