'Ours' after two months
Some of you have kindly asked how 'Ours' = Bear (pronounced Orse) my newly adopted dog is coming along. Well here he is after two months here - he loves the garden, he plays BUT he is still terrified of any visitor and lives in fear of the someone coming through the front gate. But there is progress - and of course I'm in love!

Xena and Lana
Not all Monte Carlo ladies strut around in 6 inch heels. Some, like these two ladies, are more interested in their dogs and were taking a rest with them on a bench in the Casino Gardens.
The Griffon is called Xena and she is 4 years old. And the Jack Russell terrier is called Lana and she is 3.
Both are rescue dogs now living a wonderful life in Monaco with these two fabulous Monte Carlo ladies.

A flurry of Griffons
The owner of these dogs actually had five - the other two were running around off-lead. This was taken by the market in Carnoles, which is near to Menton and Roquebrune-cap-Martin. Five griffons would be quite a handful, I'd imagine, as they are quite a highly strung breed and barky, but also affectionate and charming which doubtless compensates. They always have an undershot jaw and a monkey-like expression.
