Maggie and Mia
This is a photo I published about 3 years ago but here it is again for anyone who didn't see it. Maggie, a red and white Irish setter is on the left, and on the right is Mia, a Bassett Ariegois (a French hunting dog).

Ours under the fig tree
This is Ours, under the fig tree. Ours means Bear in French. He's a hunting dog who had been in a refuge for two and half years before he came to live with me. . He's a wonderful dog, but terrified of the world and hides whenever I have a visitor - this after over a year of living here. It's probably not going to improve - he's even scared of the wind!
But he's happy now- so joyful at food times and when I come home - and trusts me completely - it goes without saying 'he's my beautiful boy' and I couldn't live without him!

Wet Dog in Sainte Agnes
This wet dog probably needs a hot toddy from the wine shop! (Landseer, black and white version of the Newfoundland)

Border
Whilst his owner checks out the second-hand books in Menton, this lovely Border Terrier is more interested in the camera.

Peille 'pick-up' bags
All along the French Riviera you'll find these green boxes that contain 'poop' bags. No excuse for owners not to pick up after their dogs. This is in the beautiful village of Peille, way up in the mountains above Monaco and Menton.

Setting up shop with the dog
These enterprising children are setting up shop in Portofino in the hope of selling their bracelets to tourists - helped, of course, by their Jack Russell terrier.
