Maggie and Mia
We've met Maggie and Mia before. Maggie, on the left, is a red and white Irish setter - she lives in Monaco. Mia is one of my rescue dogs - she's a Bassett Ariegois (a French hunting dog) and is the scared one, scared of people that is. She loves other dogs and as you can see is checking out Maggie who is giving her a very strange look ...

Patience
This sweet dog was patiently waiting whilst her owner was looking at items for sale at the recent Kermesse in Monaco. I don't even know if this dog is a she or a he - but she looks a she to me.
Dogs are so patient aren't they?

Priska from La Réunion
This beautiful dog had a bad start in life, a very bad start. She was born on La Reunion where sadly and tragically dogs are often used by fishermen - a hook put through their noses and then thrown over the boat and used as bait.
Priska, who is now 11 months old, was lucky. She was brought into France by Tania Burrows who works tirelessly for abandoned and needy dogs and has now been adopted by the Manasse family in Monaco. She was at the Kermesse in Monaco amidst a crowd of people as part of her training in getting used to the world.
Priska is a type of dog known as a Royal Bourbon on the Ile de la Réunion

Calvin, this 6 year old French bulldog lives in Menton and likes to take a bath in the fountain at Place du Cap. He waited in vain on this occasion because, as his owner explained, it was too cold for a swim.

Halloween at PhotoMenton
Halloween is an adorable 5 year old chihuahua who lives in Villefranche. She's seen here with the well-known and talented playwright Tim Fountain who is looking after her whilst her owners are away.
Yesterday she visited PhotoMenton along with Tim and his elegant boyfriend, Richard Allen who has a website called Chic For Brains.
I think she enjoyed the photos...!

Village Dogs in Peille
An early morning stroll for a couple of dogs in the village of Peille. Peille is a mountain village 25 kilometres from Menton and Monaco. Here dogs can wander as they wish - and get a pat from the chef before he starts work.

Hyde at the Fete de la Branda
This Bull Terrier and his pretty young owner were at the recent Fete de la Branda in Gorbio village. I thought I'd written down the dog's name but I can't find it. Sorry! If his owner sees this please let me know and I'll add the information. I do remember though that he is young - maybe 9 months or a year old. (He's called Hyde. Thanks Estelle)

The Jack Russell and the Cobblestones
How to sleep without putting your head on the ground! Aren't dogs clever! This little Jack Russell lives at the studio of a ceramist in Bussana Vecchia.
Note the ancient cobblesstones - still in place after hundred and hundreds of years and not so easy to walk on, even for a dog ...

This adorable Jack Russell Terrier was at the next table to me at the fabulous Beausejour Restaurant in Gorbio. In the last photo, you can see how he managed to wind himself around the table leg when I wanted to take his photo, but he was soon untangled. He's called Eliot and he's 3 years old and lives in Nice. Nice to meet you Eliot!
